The Dream
American Dream is gaining liberty from England and starting the new world. The Dream is about escaping and reinvention. American is thinking about making a new world because they have always been optimistic. However, in 2012, America will not have much liberty than they hoped for because lots of situation are happening that are not fair enough to people. For example, the occupy wall street, and there are no middle class any more. Because there are no middle class, the lower class are having trouble paying for the key goods such as health care, college, or housing. Also, people these days are making less money than when Bill Clinton was president.. Which means, people are suffering because they are earning less money and the key goods prices are increasing. The Dream is becoming more elusive because economic impact has been distributed unevenly and most of the people are having hard time and losing hope. In addition, French economy is not doing well as well, but French people are socially and economically mobile than the Americans.

Plain and simple, that was the source of our exodus: I had to keep moving. I didn’t set out to leave my husband. Anyone can see I should have, long before, but I never did know how. For women like me, it seems, it’s not ours to take charge of beginnings and endings. Not the marriage proposal, the summit conquered, the first shot fired, nor the last one either—the treaty at Appomattox, the knife in the heart. Let men write those stories. I can’t. I only know the middle ground where we live our lives. We whistle while Rome burns, or we scrub the floor, depending. Don’t dare presume there’s shame in the lot of a woman who carries on. On the day a committee of men decided to murder the fledgling Congo, what do you suppose Mama Mwanza was doing? Was it different, the day after? Of course not. Was she a fool, then, or the backbone of a history? When a government comes crashing down, it crushes those who were living under its roof. People like Mama Mwanza never knew the house was there at all. Independence is a complex word in a foreign tongue. To resist occupation, whether you’re a nation or merely a woman, you must understand the language of your enemy. Conquest and liberation and democracy and divorce are words that mean squat, basically, when you have hungry children and clothes to get out on the line and it looks like rain.
I am in deep sadness about death of Ruth May. However it is tragic that I have to still move on from the sadness. I have to time to care and be sad about her death and feel sympathy. This situation and that I have to move on makes me feel very guilty. However, I got to keep on moving. Move to go to my home country. I not getting sick of this country or her husband but she need to be back and move on to things. However, it might not be worth it in some percentage because knowing the enemies word does not matter. Enemies language for example, if Belgium says you are free to Congo that does not mean women will not do laundry or cooking or have rights to hunt. Their life will not change and it is unchangeable so know the language is not meaningful.

Moral person is someone who has good common sense about every situation. For instance, civilized, humble, trustworthy, open minded, friendly or a wise person can be an example of a person who has morality. People usually think that an individual with morality is always right but I think this point of view is myopic. They don’t always have the right answers to the life’s big questions; there is no right or wrong answers in some situations. Every different person has a different kind of morality. The standard of morality is something that is arbitrarily determined by a fictional reasonable and average person..

Comparison Between Movie and Book
When I first saw this movie, I thought we were just watching it for fun. However, after ten minutes of watching The Mosquito Coast I noticed that is was about Poisonwood Bible. But I realized that it was quite different from both two books. For example, both books involves religious belief about Christianity but Poisonwood Bible strengthens the more and Mosquito Coast gathers people with new technology. Both Fathers have strong belief in Christianity.
Father, Allie and Nathan, they both settle in small land: undeveloped, small population, easy to access. They went to small place to start from scratch and they can build up. Also, they both destroy the originality and think they are helping the people.
In addition, both fathers, they both are concerned with the villagers and what they are planning to do. They are both leader from their family. However, they do not show big concern to their families. For example, in The Mosquito Coast, father does not care about Jerry while he was spreading the ice to other people. He was tell Jerry, he needs to stop whining. He is so selfish and has big pride that he thinks he is always right. He always refuse to leave where they first settled because he thinks he is so proud of what he have made through.
The common things about both father’s families. For example, mothers they take care of their husband and always follow him. Those two women always trust him and believe that he will success. Also, both fathers favors first child.
The both movie and book has similar story line but little bit small different details. They both start from small village and have goods start building up what they plan. However, the ending of both stories faces death.
